Sophia Ranes

About Me

Sophia Ranes - I’m excited to connect with the community and local businesses through this program! Olney isn’t the largest town, but I’m certain that the business visits will give me a new perspective on the community and people living in it. I also hope to gain experiences in entrepreneurship, cooperation and professionalism. I aim to apply the lessons I learn from CEO in both my personal and professional life. Although I have not committed to a college or set a career path, I want to pursue a science related field like Biochemistry. The experiences gained from CEO will benefit me in STEM fields by giving me a good professional foundation. I participate in the RCHS choir, hold a leadership position within the Marching Tigers Colorguard and maintain high grade averages in my schoolwork. Outside of school, I volunteer at Cinderella’s Threads, participate in local theater productions, enjoy time with friends and family and work on learning new baking recipes.

About My Business

Sophia Ranes - Sol Haircare is owned and operated by 2023 Richland County CEO Entrepreneur, Sophia Ranes. When approaching the individual business portion of the CEO program, she wanted to explore opportunities to create a company focused on sustainable products. When researching this, she became inspired by the growing solid shampoo and conditioner industry and how it was helping individuals reduce their water usage and carbon footprint, along with helping them to save space by eliminating plastic packaging. Currently, Sol Haircare’s product line includes two different solid bar sizes with three color and scent pairs and a scent and color free option. Soap trays are also sold to give products a place to dry while not in use. Purchases can be made at Sol Haircare’s website, www.solhaircare.co. Sol Haircare can be found at Sol Haircare on Facebook, solhaircare.co on Instagram and Tiktok, and can be reached by email at solhaircare@gmail.com
