Hello everyone, this is Richland County CEO member Karlee Piercefield with this weeks recap. This week in CEO was full of learning, preparation, and exciting announcements. On Monday, Xander led our class discussion by reading the chapter “You Oughta Sell Hotdogs” from the book Things You Wish You Knew Yesterday. The chapter focused on recognizing simple opportunities and taking initiative when starting or growing a business. We also had to show proof that we ordered our business cards and banners in preparation for our upcoming shows. This helped make sure everyone is ready to represent and promote their businesses professionally. On Tuesday, we went on a tour of Baker Hughes where we learned more about their operations and how a large company runs efficiently. Then on Wednesday, we toured Master Halco and got to see another side of manufacturing and business management. Thursday was our Freshman Lunch-n-Learn where we spoke with freshmen about the CEO program and shared what we do throughout the year. To wrap up the week on Friday, we played a fun activity called “The Trade Up Game” for a journal pass. During class we also made an exciting announcement about who was selected to present for the National Pitch!
