This is Richland County CEO member Xander Holtz with this week’s recap. We kicked off the week with River reading our weekly chapter, “The Kitchen of Learning” by Craig Lindvahl, from the book Things You Wish You Knew Yesterday. We also completed our quarterly board, mentor, and investor quiz. On Tuesday, we attended Ayden’s tour at Consolidated Grain and Barge, where we learned about their day-to-day operations. On Wednesday, we continued working on our class business, Winter Runderland, which features a 5k, 10k, and mile race, along with an indoor festival that includes vendors, music, and games. On Thursday, we went on Karlee’s tour at Blank’s Insurance, where we spoke with Julie Hearring, Allyson Hearring-Padilla, and Michael Dowty about careers in insurance, what insurance is, and why it’s important. To wrap up the week, I led our team-building activity called Imposter. On Friday, we spent additional time preparing for our class business. Overall, this was another very productive week for CEO, and we are excited to see everyone at our class event!
