This is Richland County CEO member Summer Downen, with our weekly recap. On Monday, Brody Thomas read us a chapter in our book entitled “Everything Has Value.” We followed that up with the class business kick off, and our October “Quote to Note.” This week was jam packed with business tours as we went to Citizens National Bank on Tuesday, and had the opportunity to talk to Amy Kirby and Lora Kocher about the wide variety of financial services Citizens National Bank provides. On Wednesday, we toured Prairie Farms and talked to Larry Brinson, who is the general manager. He talked to us about the machinery inside the facility that is used to make all their products. On Thursday, we had the opportunity to visit the Wabash General Hospital Medical Clinic here in Olney. We talked to Andrew Kleinschmidt and faculty about the inner workings of the hospital, and the future expansion of Wabash. Finally, on Friday, I led the team builder called “Reverse Cups.” It tested our abilities on being able to work under pressure, communication, and building team strategies. We then continued our class business brainstorming. Overall, it was a great week for Richland County CEO!
