Hello, this is CEO member Isaac Bradley. I am here to share my favorite lesson from the book "Things You Wish You Knew Yesterday." My favorite life lesson from the book was "Repetition is Good, Repetition is Good, Repetition is Good."
This chapter talks about how practicing will help you become good at whatever you do. The author, Craig Lindvahl, uses baseball players for an example. He states on page 97, "baseball players know that repetition is the only way to really get good at what they do... when certain skills become automatic through repetition, the player can think over the top of those skills." This lesson can truly go for anything. This chapter has stuck with me because it taught me not to give up. Learning something new can come with its challenges, that's why practice is key. Putting in the work to get better is all worth it in the end. This lesson can apply to my future career as well. Experience in construction is key. Learning the trade and practicing is what defines a skilled to amateur worker. All in all, this book has taught me to never give up and chase my goals head on! When you put in more work and learn more than anyone else, there is no competition.
