Hello everyone! This is CEO member Grace Masterson, here to share what lesson in the book “Things You Wish You Knew Yesterday” stood out to me. The lesson I chose is one about needing different types of people to solve problems from the chapter “Four People Standing on a Street Corner” As Craig Lindvahl states “you need to be surrounded by people who are different than you, who approach problems in a different way than you.” This lesson has honestly changed my life. I think a lot of us feel like people should approach and solve problems like we do. Whether that’s deciding on a place to eat or making an executive decision in the workplace. I will never forget this chapter and lesson because it greatly applies to my life. It has helped me in relationships, personal and professional. I am more confident when talking to others, which is very important because confidence and the way you carry yourself can impact a situation or conversation incredibly. I am confident going into the conversation knowing that not everyone is going to solve the issue like I would. I am very grateful that I had the opportunity to read this amazing book. Every chapter really does have an amazing life lesson. It was very hard to choose just one!
